Vale Volunteers supports and promotes voluntary activity locally, working with charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations.
We offer a raft of services to help organisations develop, thrive and deliver their own services more effectively and operate as a Council for Voluntary Service. One of our major services is finding volunteers for organisations. Through Volunteer Centre Aylesbury Vale we help with recruitment, development and promotion of volunteering opportunities.
Through Opportunities for All, part funded by Vale of Aylesbury Community Chest, we give extra support to people who need assistance to get started as a volunteer.
Across the county, with extra funding from the Big Lottery we work with employers to develop and encourage volunteering through the Volunteer Workout project.
Our latest Lottery funded project Building Bucks will increase support to local organisations and improve their ability to access new commissioning opportunities.
With funding from Bucks Strategic Partnership we are setting up a new project.
Interim Expert Volunteers project will invite senior executives, managers and skilled professionals to join an Expert Volunteers Panel. Following a focused induction and orientation programme, panel members will be linked to short-term ‘assignments’ through which to share their knowledge, skills and experience with voluntary and community organisations and new projects.
Our Gardening Services are delivered by volunteers to people who cannot maintain their own gardens. The admin funding and referrals to this project comes from Bucks County Council and Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust.
Vale Volunteers is a Registered Charity, No 1102171, and a Company Limited by Guarantee, registered in England No: 5005411. Registered office: 8a Temple Square, Aylesbury HP20 2QH
We are fully accredited members of the National Association of Councils for Voluntary Service (NACVS) and of Volunteering England. As a partner in Voluntary Impact Bucks, we deliver services across Buckinghamshire to support, advise and assist the voluntary and community sector under a contract jointly funded by the four District Councils and the County Council.
