About Us

Vale Volunteers is the Council for Voluntary Service for the Aylesbury Vale district of Buckinghamshire, which has been in operation since 1997. Our aim is to support and promote voluntary activity locally and we work with charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations. We are a registered charity and company limited by guarantee and are funded by a grant from the Big Lottery Fund, and by Aylesbury Vale District Council. We are fully accredited members of the National Association of Councils for Voluntary Service (NACVS) and of Volunteering England.

 

Councils for Voluntary Service exist to support, inform, and represent all the voluntary and community groups in their area – they offer a raft of services to member groups, enabling them to develop, thrive and support their own members more effectively. Of course, one of the major requirements of voluntary organisations is volunteers, and Volunteer Centre Aylesbury Vale (an integral part of Vale Volunteers) hopes to be able to help with recruitment.
