In a nutshell...

What do we do?

We work to support, develop and represent voluntary and community groups across the county. In particular our aim is to put people in touch with local groups which need help. Our service is free and impartial and open to anyone who contacts us.

What sort of groups?

A huge range - in excess of 900 organisations have asked Community Impact Bucks to help them find extra helpers.

Why are we here?

To encourage people like you to think about giving some time.

Could volunteering help me?

Yes! Volunteering can lead to so much; a new sense of purpose and well-being, knowing that your efforts have made a real difference to people's lives. You can acquire new skills (there are lots of training opportunities), and a different circle of friends. Volunteering can provide an avenue back to paid employment through enhancement of skills. Not least, is the experience and sheer pleasure that comes with investing your own energy into something worthwhile.

How do I find out more?

All our volunteering opportunities are on the national volunteering website www.do-it.org.uk  Click on the address to link to their webpages which allow you to search the wide range of opportunities available, based on your interests and location within the county.  If you decide to apply for one of the roles you find, it will send us an automatic message about your preferences so we can follow that up.
