Vale Volunteers Gardening Services

As well as the many and various volunteering opportunities through Vale Volunteers, our Gardening Services offers a different way to lend a hand in the local community.  When Spring is looming what better way to spend you spare time than out in the fresh crisp air.

 

Calling all gardening enthusiasts!

 

We need you to help with a very valued service in Aylesbury Vale and beyond.  Whether you prefer to help on an individual basis to maintain the garden for someone in your area, or to join a team for the day to complete garden makeovers, you will be very welcome.

 

From complete garden makeovers to routine maintenance, volunteer gardeners make all the difference.

Gardening Project

Vale Volunteers Gardening Services offers basic gardening help to older and disabled people in your community.

We are looking for people willing to help with basic gardening tasks like:

· Cutting back shrubs
· Mowing the lawn
· Planting bulbs, annuals and perennials,
· Weeding,
· Forking beds and borders

As a volunteer, you will be supported by our Project team who can offer training and advice on basic gardening, health and safety issues, and working with older people. All volunteer expenses related to the Gardening Project (including travel) will be covered by Vale Volunteers. You will also be covered under our insurance policy.

Did you know?

You can burn between 200 and 400 calories by digging for 30 minutes, and mowing the lawn is another great way to use up extra calories!

Getting involved with a community gardening project is a great way to meet new people and learn a new skill.

Spending time around plants can reduce tension and stress.

So get your gardening gloves on and get ready to get fit and have fun!!!
